Calendar & appointments

Creating, moving, and managing the status of appointments.

Calendar (/calendar)

The week view supports drag & drop rescheduling: the new time is saved immediately, not just moved visually, and the customer is notified automatically about the change (see "Who gets notified about what" below).

Booking an appointment outside a staff member's set schedule, or at a time that overlaps another appointment for the same staff member, shows a warning but doesn't block the action. This is deliberate: you can proceed if it's a genuine out-of-schedule booking (an emergency slot, say) or a knowing double-booking.

Creating a new appointment

From "New Appointment," search for an existing client or add a new one directly inside the modal. Picking a client is required; without one, submission is blocked with a clear "Client required" message.

Appointments (/appointments)

A list with bulk-select, CSV export, and a sortable status column. From an appointment's detail page you can move it to:

  • Completed
  • Cancel (with a confirmation dialog; the appointment stays visible in history, it isn't deleted)
  • No-show (no notification is sent to the customer, which makes sense since telling someone "you didn't show up" before you've actually talked to them wouldn't be appropriate)

All three statuses are terminal in the interface (the action buttons disappear afterward), but the rest of the appointment's details (client, time, service) stay editable from the pencil icon if you need to correct something after the fact.

Who gets notified about what

ActionCustomer gets (default)Setting that controls it
Time change (drag & drop or manual)Automatic reschedule email"On reschedule" in Settings
CancellationAutomatic cancellation email"On cancel" in Settings
No-showNo notification, deliberately(no setting)

Want to control it yourself each time?

If you'd rather see a prompt before a reschedule or cancellation email goes out (instead of it sending automatically), change the setting in the "Appointment Notifications" section of Settings to "Ask before sending."
